Welcome to Paragon! ( Return To Your Element | Join the Elements? )

November 20: The Anord have now finally decided on a course of action to solve their current issue. Perhaps too, they can figure out how to solve the strange weather berating the lands as well, making things difficult for all wolves, as the storm continues to rage on unchecked, winds tossing those around that attempt to use the air, and rains drenching all that choose to be out in the elements instead of in a warm, safe, den. The wolves of lightning will not be able to do this on their own, they will need to enlist the aid of others in their quests. Hopefully, they can forge their way through!
As well, you'll notice some minor changes being made here and there to the Website, specifically the Timeline on the World page, and the Seasons, wherein it specifies how the different seasons affect different elemental packlands. It is always a good idea to read and re-read the website as you continue on your merry journeys, for as things change and evolve, so too does some of our information! Finally, you'll notice that the "Adoptable Pre-Made Characters" Thread is undergoing construction. The finished project should make it easier to read and sort through, expect that amongst other things to be finished this coming weekend! ~ Cheryl
November 9: Just a quick FYI: I do keep track (and the board does as well) of ip addresses and can recognize emails that have been used prior when creating accounts. This is how I can tell if you have multiple accounts on the game. It is in your best interest then, if you are intending on playing a character, to register it yourself so that miscommunication is not had. (And yes, you can still ask me to register a character for you if you do not have an alternate email, that is kept track of manually) As well, due to people not understanding that we require you to state "other characters played here" on your application, it has now been edited into the Character Application Form for better clarification. Currently pending applications must edit this into their application before they can be accepted and it is thus required now on all future applications! Please help make sure our records are kept straight! Thanks! :) ~ Cheryl

Rules for Entering Pack Lands:

It is very simple; you enter pack lands, and you will be challenged by a pack member. Be it the Alpha, Beta Hunter, or an Omega, a pack member is allowed to challenge entrance of any foreign wolf. It may be just a friendly inquest or it could be a snarling denial of access. No wolf has automatic permissions or allowances to be on foreign pack lands unless previously arranged by the Alphas. Only the Alphas may give permission in such a way. If your wolf enters another pack's lands without stopping first at the border to ask for entrance, they are completely at the mercy of the other pack . . . which oftentimes can be fatal. Don't say you weren't warned . . .

Devyn felt the pull to learn. To gain the knowledge of all the packs, and she had no idea why. It annoyed her, but she figured it came with being back on Paragon and being a Spiorad. She stepped out of her den, noticing that it was colder now. How long had she been helping those worthless wolves? A whole season? She shrugged, and blinked toward the beach. She figured she would go to Emerald Forest today, but a storm had approached over night.

She couldn't believe that it had yet to stop raining. But she ignored it, the rain somewhat soothed Devyn in ways she couldn't explain. The smells, the sounds, the looks. It was all very comforting, so perhaps her journey would be a good one, seeing as she was in a good mood. Smiling for the first time in many years, she walked onward. Jade Grasslands was pretty much a swamp now, but that was no matter, she'd find a way to stay somewhat less dirty. The outside of the forest was changing colors, but it was hard to see in the cloud of rain in front of her.

Devyn stopped at the border of the trees, letting out a howl for one's company. Hopefully she would gather the attention of the Luminary, but she could deal with any member of the pack. If the Luminary didn't appear, then she could return at another time. There was no problem with that.

Rain drizzled through the canopies as the storm over the land roared, the downpour splashing onto the leaves. The Warden remained within the treetops, his back against on old oak as he watched the droplets fall to the ground. The twig and moss covered floors like a swamp. The Crithean male exhaled in a sigh and shook his head, something about this storm seemed wrong. Giving his tail a flick, the male’s right green ear flicked forward, the brown ear soon following after. Streiter blinked in confusion, a howl breaking through the loud sound of the rain. Swallowing, peering towards the borders, the male decided to move from his shelter, the rain pouring down upon his bulky form, droplets shimmering upon his brown and green splotched pelt. The Wardens fur bristled and began to harden as he walked, head low and ears flat as to stop the water flow into his ears.

Eventually the male made it to the edge of the charred borders, fallen trees, burnt and damaged. The male sighed and turned his attention towards a cinnamon coloured Spiorad. Lifting his head, light hazel eyes blinking at her, Streiter smooth voice sounded loud over the thunderous rain, "What can I do for you at a time like this? Miss?" he swallowed and gave a small shake of his body, rain flying off his form in all directions. Giving a grunt the Warden remained silent and watched the female, awaiting a response.

The sound of the voice over the rain made Devyn a bit happy. At least the Critheans didn't make her wait forever, that would have aggravated her. She allowed the rain to soak through her pelt, not caring how she looked. As long as he knew what she was going to be asking, her mood wouldn't fluctuate to what it usually was. >>I was hoping you knew anything of the history of your pack. Preferably what's happened in the last twenty years. I've been trapped in the Shrouded Lands for close to twenty years, trying to find a way out, and now that I'm back, I seek what I've missed in my time gone.<<

Hopefully this Crithean wouldn't tell her to just go ask Star like Creepy and Socks pretty much had. Didn't they know the joy of doing things by oneself? It gave her a sense of pride and usefulness if no one knew what she did. She had noted the burned area outside the forest and remembered that Socks had told her there had been a fire in Lasair. She didn't know what she would would have done if the trees in Carnelian Isle had caught, but it was unlikely for them to even catch fire. The mist that shrouded her home made everything damp, so a flame was lucky to even spark there.

As the rain poured, Streiter’s ears arched forwards as the cinnamon coloured Spiorad’s voice sounded within his mind, her tone of voice a lot let soft then the others he had come across, but Strei wasn’t one to judge. Everyone was different and so they should be grateful for it. Shaking his head, focusing his mind of the Spiorad’s words, the Warden couldn’t help but frown slightly as she was questioning about he happenings of his homelands in the past 20 years. Deciding to lower himself onto his haunches, seating himself somewhat comfortably on the drenched forest floors, Strei tilted his head and stared at the female with a bizarre expression. The first thought that came to the male’s mind was, Why didn’t she ask Spectral? Then Streiter figured that it probably made one feel more in control and more proud of ones self to do such investigating for their own. Offering the Spiorad a smile, the Warden gave his head a simple nod and replied in a warm earthy tone, "I will tell you what I can and of what I know." he smiled a little and then added, "Before I give you such information, I would very much like to know whom I am talking to?" he gave a pearly grin, "For introductions I am Sylvas Streiter, Warden Sentinel, though you may call me Strei if you so wish." he gave a casual roll of his shoulders, tail curling about his forepaws as he sat silently within the drizzling downpour.

Light hazel eyes looked over the female, his light gaze gradually trailing up towards the canopy, soft stare watching as the droplets fell from the browning leaves. Looking back towards the Spiorad, Strei merely smiled and waited.

::OOC::

Devyn gave the Crithean, Sylvas, a cold stare when he asked her for her name. What did it matter to him? It wasn't like they would ever talk to each other again. Things had changed a lot in twenty years, that was for sure. Wolves always asked her for her name when there was little chance that they would ever meet again. She thought for a while, trying to think of all the wolves that actually knew her name. Five? Something like that. She studied Sylvas, noting that she couldn't call him Socks because that's what she'd called the Feolan female. Scars, she decided and smiled. She was talking to Scars.

Devyn moved on to Scars' position in his pack. Warden? Was that what they called the Betas here? Her head began to hurt with all the differences in the packs. Why did the ranks have to change? It made it quite difficult for Spiorads returning to Paragon to memorize them all. Okay... so they had Scribes, the Tineans had Beacons, the Feolans had Airistocrats, and the Critheans had Wardens? How strange. Clearing her throat (or... mind), before she spoke (or thought) to Scars, she said, >>I'm Devyn, Omega Sentinel of the Spiorads.<<

Sylvas looked towards the cinnamon wolfess for a moment, light hazel eyes taking a quick glance around the forest. Bushy brown tail gave a flick at his side as he sat and listened to the drizzle of the rain that penetrated through the brown and yellow canopy above. Finally the Spiorad offered her name and rank, a slight grin crept across his muzzle as he took note she was a Sentinel. Giving his head a nod towards her, Strei’s right green arched forwards as his ebon lips parted, the Warden’s voice earthy and light, "It‘s a pleasure, Devyn." he swallowed and straightened his posture, the brute’s mind pondering on where to start. Lifting his head, ears flicking backwards against his head as he looked towards Devyn. Pink tongue flicked out from his muzzle and he began, "I wont be able to tell you what has happened exactly in twenty years, but I could tell you a couple things, but they wont be in order I‘m afraid. " he smiled a little gingerly and let out a soft sigh. Giving his shoulders a few rolls he twitched his nose and said, "If your still confused, you are welcome to come back and see my Luminary…" he sniffed and tilted his head to the side thoughtfully.

Swallowing, the Warden spoke smoothly, "Over the years the pack leadership has stayed in a single family line. Our Luminary Sylvan Shadows was passed this down by her parents." he paused, not entirely sure on what else to say, the brute’s mind was a little blank for the moment. Eyes trailing back towards Devyn, Streiter swallowed and continued, "The most recent even that has occurred for my pack is the extremely hot Lasair that burnt up our forest home." he looked at the floor for a second and gradually glanced towards his scarred shoulder. Licking his lips, his smooth voice sounded again, "Before that was when the Shrouded Lands first came along and took many wolves and the Forest of Twilight connected with our own land." Streiter shook his head as he tried to think of more things, his mind becoming more blank as he dug deeper.
